梯形絲杠和滾珠絲杠的運動原理相同，不同之處在于，梯形絲杠里沒有滾珠，那么螺母和絲杠軸之間的運動，完全靠機械接觸產生滑動，是滑動摩擦，所以梯形絲杠也叫滑動絲杠。
